SPAX Decking Screws
German made SPAX decking screws use a double thread fixing technology to hold the board down, preventing movement of the board in hot or wet conditions & preventing screw heads popping up out of your deck.
The ease of installation, the quality of the finish & the lifetime durability is the reason SPAX screws are used by professional builders, councils & government organisations across New Zealand.
These screws are for use with timber joists. We also stock decking screws for steel joists and aluminium joists.

What size do I need?
Use this table to choose the longest screw that doesn't exceed your maximum deck board thickness.
You can also work out quantities for your project with the decking screw calculator.
304 or 316 stainless steel
For most projects, 304 grade stainless steel is the right choice. Use 316 stainless steel where screws will have direct contact with ocean water or regular submersion.
